National Girl Child Day

National girl child day is celebrated every year on 24th of January. This celebration is to offer support and new opportunities to the girls in the country. It is celebrated to increase the awareness among people about all the inequalities faced by the girl child in the society. Inequality about girl child is a vast problem which includes areas like inequality in education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, protection, honour, child marriage and so many more. National girl child day has been started as a national girls development mission by the Government of India. It enhances the meaningful contribution of the girls in decision making processes through the active support of the parents and other community members. This day was observed across many CINI centers

Plant fundraiser success

Thanks to all the wonderful people of Wyndham who made the fund raising plant sale for CINI a great success…lots of generosity with all the work potting plants and cakes to sell…coming along to sit in the garden, 38 degrees in the fan…drinking iced tea and eating ginger bread men. We raised $1150 for a good cause. Awesome effort!

Congratulations to everyone involved in CINI Australia’s first Mothers Day Celebration!

This fundraising event was a sell out with 200 guests attending to enjoy high tea, delicious food, silent auction and a demonstration of how to dress in a sari and a photo display of CINI programs.

A huge thanks to all the donors without whom this would not be possible.

Special thanks to John XXIII college and students for their enormous contribution.
